Design Director, Breakthrough Innovation at PepsiCo


Richard helps to set the breakthrough innovation strategy for Europe, leading a cross-functional team to establish and drive growth in white spaces PepsiCo does not play in today.

Richard is essentially responsible for snacking innovation, following on from his previous role at Mars where he was designing candy! Across these roles he has been designing and innovating globally iconic brands that include Doritos, Walkers, Wotsits, Monster Munch, Snickers, M&M’s, Celebrations and MilkyWay.

Prior to working in-house, Richard worked at various design and innovation consultancies establishing growth opportunities for clients across categories such as consumer electronics, services, as well as FMCG / CPG.
