Mariam is an engineer at the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Centre, where she currently leads the Talent Development Unit. In addition, Mariam is a part of the strategic planning team in the Emirates Mars Mission, and is the Education lead for the same. She is responsible for holding workshops and events for the public, schools, and universities in fields related to STEM in order to achieve the mission’s goals. She is also part of the Education & Outreach Team of the UAE Astronaut Programme, where she is heading the short mission science.
Mariam received her Master’s degree in Engineering Management (Total Quality Management) from the British University in Dubai and her Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the American University in Sharjah (AUS). During her time in AUS, she earned a minor degree in Engineering Management. Mariam is also part of the sixth cohort of the UAE Government Leaders Program.
