Lucas is a Vice President and Global Head of External Innovation and Partnering at Bayer Consumer Health, where he leads the strategy and execution of collaborations with startups, academia, and other partners to accelerate the development and launch of innovative and sustainable personal health and care solutions. He has over 10 years of experience in health innovation, venture finance, and digital transformation, working with leading organizations across the public and private sectors.

Previously, he was the managing director of DayOne, Switzerland’s leading digital health accelerator, where he built and scaled a full-service innovation platform that supported the growth of over 50 health tech ventures in Europe. He also serves as a member of the supervisory board of EIT Health, Europe’s largest health innovation network.

Lucas is passionate about improving access to quality and universal health coverage, and has been recognized by Forbes as one of the 30 Under 30 in Science and Healthcare in Europe. He holds a degree in Neuroscience and a Masters in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics of Health from University College London.
