Kees Klomp

Kees Klomp (1968) studied Political Science and Communications at the University of Amsterdam. Klomp worked as a marketing and communication consultant for almost 20 years at BBDO, Y&R and TBWA.

Since 2015 Klomp works in academic education. First as managing director of sustainability think tank SMO (part of the Erasmus University Rotterdam), later as a professor of applied science at the Rotterdam University of Applied Science, and now as programmanager AGENCY! at Windesheim University of Applied Science in Zwolle. In this new role, Klomp tries to research and develop methods to intrinsically motivate and societally engage students.

Klomp researched and developed an economic approach that he labels Existential Economics. Klomp wrote multiple books on this subject; such as the book THRIVE, fundamentals for the new economy. Klomp is well known speaker and did multiple TEDx talks!
